- Tarantula's mainly eat insects (some other species eat birds and small mammals)
- When they catch their prey, they inject it with venom that makes it so the prey is unable to move, it kills the prey with it's fangs and breaks it up into pieces so it can fit in it's mouth.
- They are usually hiding, because they are a burrowing species.
- When they are threatened, they show their fangs and puts its weight on its back legs. If the predator doesnt leave, the spider may shoot urticating hairs toward he predator. (small sharp hairs that cause minor irritation to humans, but can kill small animals)
